The lady pictured in this photograph has beautiful long weave. She has weave tracks sewed into her hair. This means that some of her hair is braided and weave is sewn in. The front of her hair is actually her natural hair blended in with the weave. She even curled her natural hair similar to the curl pattern of the weave. She is wearing black weave, which matches her natural hair color. I think the color goes great with her complexion. I would even suggest her trying a lighter color. I could see her with a light brown weave. The hair she is wearing is extremely long. Long hair goes well with her small head. I am very impressed with the hairstyle. Its looks like it is her real hair. This style is truly a Hair Do!

Color Gone Bad
The young lady pictured here has her natural hair straight down, with one strip of purple weave in the back. To many, this style is different and creative. In my opinion, she should have avoided the purple weave totally. Maybe I'm just not use to seeing people with purple hair. On a positive note, the purple weave goes well with her complexion. The style of her hair is simple, yet cute. If she had the purple weave throughout her hair and not just on the bottom, it might look a little better. I was always told that "Less is Best". In this hairstyle, the purple weave in unnecessary. I am going to have to give this style a Hair Don't!

The Short Cut
The lady pictured here has a short cut hairstyle. The length of her hair is medium in the front and short in the back. The front actually has a few tracks of weave, which is glued into her hair. She has a shape up in the front of her hair, which gives her a nice hairline. Her short hair is cute in layers going down. She has a "swoop" in the front of her hair. The "swoop" is actually a side bang. Her bang is curled and flipped up. This fits her face very well. There is not too much you can do with this style. You pretty much have to keep it the same way. You could curl the hair under, but that is about it. This hairstyle typically last for about 2 weeks. I'd give this a Hair Do!Bob Cut or Blob Nut?
The hairstyle photographed to the right is called a bob cut. The bob cut style is typically cut straight around the head at about jaw length. The young lady's hair is long in the front. In the back of her head, the hair looks shorter, but its all cut at the same length. Bob cuts can be styled with the part in the middle or on different sides on your head. In this picture, the part is right in the middle of the young lady's head. She is actually wearing weave. Many people add weave to their hair, so that the stylist won't cut their real hair. The weave is what's being cut in the bob style. She chose a dark black weave. This blends in perfectly with her natural hair color. Some people wouldn't even know the difference between the weave and her real hair. I'd definitely give this a Hair Do!Wednesday, February 10, 2010
New Weave on the Block!
I a
m pictured in this photo wearing a new type of weave. This is called a Lace Front Wig. Lace fronts are wigs that come with a natural hairline. The wigs usually look like real hair is coming from the scalp. The hairline you see in the picture is not mine, but instead the wig's. You can also part about an inch of the hair in the front. The particular lace front I am wearing comes from the company Sensationnel. The name of this wig is called Serena. The hair is black with brown streaks in it. The wig is actually layered very nicely. The back of the hair is very long. This lace front can be styled in many different ways. These wigs typically last for a month and a half. The Serena Lace Front is indeed a Hair Do!

UnbeWeavable
This photograph shows a picture of me this Summer. The hair you see is all weave. This hairstyle only requires a stocking cap, hair tracks and hair glue; which can all be purchased at Beauty Supply Stores worldwide. The weave I used was the Duby Wrap. I put the stocking cap on my head and glued the hair tracks onto the cap; starting from the bottom on up. I then added an addition weave closure to the crown of my hair cap. The problem was that the first weave I used was human hair and the hair closure was synthetic. The difference between the two is that you can curl human hair, while most synthetic hair cannot be curled. I forgot that I had two kinds of weave in my hair and curled all of it. This was not a good idea at all. The synthetic weave ended up burning a little, which completely messed the hairstyle up. I tried all I could to make the style work, and wore the weave for one day only. I'd absolutely have to give this style a "Hair Don't!"
