Silky Smooth Perm

The young lady pictured here has a nice, sleek perm. Her hair is cut shoulder-lengthed. She has side bangs covering her right eye. The color of her hair looks like a brownish-blonde. This hair color really works with her skin complexion. Her hair color also matches her hazel eyes. This is a nice Spring hairstyle to wear. The hair is just the right lenght....not too long and not too short. Her hair is very sleek and smooth. It seems to have a shiny effect to it. I'm not sure how she is able to see with one of her eyes covered by the hair, but nonetheless, this is a cute style. I'd give this a Hair Do!

Short Hair...Don't Care

The young woman in this photograph is pictured with short hair. She seems to have some type of grease or gel in her hair. I see some shiny spots throughout her hair. Her hair seems to be a little curled, but it looks like most of her curls fell or got combed out. Maybe if her hair was curled a little tighter, it would look better. Her baby hair in the front looks nice and sleek. There are so many hairstyles that can be done with short hair. The young lady could even put some of her hair up in a clip. This style would give her hair a more classy look. I'm going to have to declare this a Hair Don't!

Afrocentric

The lady in this picture has a beautiful afro. Her afro looks like a result of her having her hair braided for a month and finally taking the braids out. The afro hair you see is actually all weave. She had this afro weave sewn into her hair. Sew-in weaves usually look extremely natural, as hers does. The hair fits her face perfectly. The afro looks a little wild, yet tamed all at the same time. It seems to me like she even has a long afro bang on one side, which is swooped near her eye. The afro is neither too long nor too short. It is just right for her face. The dark color of the hair, brings out her skin complexion nicely. This hairstyle to me is an afrocentric look. I would say that is a Hair Do!

Color Gone Bad

The young lady pictured here has her natural hair straight down, with one strip of purple weave in the back. To many, this style is different and creative. In my opinion, she should have avoided the purple weave totally. Maybe I'm just not use to seeing people with purple hair. On a positive note, the purple weave goes well with her complexion. The style of her hair is simple, yet cute. If she had the purple weave throughout her hair and not just on the bottom, it might look a little better. I was always told that "Less is Best". In this hairstyle, the purple weave in unnecessary. I am going to have to give this style a Hair Don't!

Simple Style, With a Hint of a Smile

The hairstyle in this photograph is very simple. The young woman has one side of her hair clipped back. The rest of her hair is straight down. She has a side bang, which is parted from the middle of her head. I see this hairstyle pretty often. Some people do not use the clips and instead just hold the hair with a rubber band or scrunchie. The clip really adds a lot to the hairstyle. She seems to have a fresh perm or freshly straightened hair. Although the style is simple, it really works for her. Her hair is just the right length; not too long nor not too short. There are many cute styles that do not require weave, and I believe that this is one of them. I'd give this style a Hair Do!

Elegant Orange

The young lady here pictured in this photograph has a lot going on with her hair. She has multi-colors throughtout her hair. You can see she has a little brown, a few streaks of blonde, and a whole lot of orange in her hair. The brown colored hair is this young lady's natural hair. The orange hair is actually weave. She has a very nice bang that is flipped over in a fancy way. The hairstyle altogether is very elegant and professional looking. The weave blends in nicely with her real hair. The orange hair color goes great with her complexion. The hair length fits her face perfectly. The stylist even cut the hair in very nice layers. This style is absolutely a Hair Do!

Braid Puff

The girl in this picture has cornrow braids in her hair.
She has a weave afro puff as her ponytail. The cornrows are in a neat creative design. Her weave afro puff seems to have tiny curls throughout. The puff goes very well with the cornrow braids. Her natural hair blends in nicely with the weave. Some would not even realize that the puff was weave, because it looks so natural. She even has baby hair in the front of her head, which works well with the braids. I'd have to declare this a Hair Do!

Side Pony or Just Plain Phony?

The young lady here is photographed with a side ponytail. She has her hair gelled into the weave ponytail. The weave ponytail uses combs and drawstrings to attach to her natural hair. The ponytail blends in very well with her natural hair color. In my opinion, she could have done a better job gelling her hair back into the ponytail. She may not have a perm and that is why her hair isn't as straight as the weave. All you would need is extra gel on your hair. If you wrapped your hair with a scarf for about 20 minutes, it would look just as straight as the weave ponytail. I would have to give this style a Hair Don't!

The Short Cut

The lady pictured here has a short cut hairstyle. The length of her hair is medium in the front and short in the back. The front actually has a few tracks of weave, which is glued into her hair. She has a shape up in the front of her hair, which gives her a nice hairline. Her short hair is cute in layers going down. She has a "swoop" in the front of her hair. The "swoop" is actually a side bang. Her bang is curled and flipped up. This fits her face very well. There is not too much you can do with this style. You pretty much have to keep it the same way. You could curl the hair under, but that is about it. This hairstyle typically last for about 2 weeks. I'd give this a Hair Do!

Old Micros or better yet, Bold Micros

The girl photographed in this picture has micros. The micros are not fresh looking though. They look like they've been in here hair for a good 2 months. From this picture, you can see her new growth hair. She has a medium brown color weave in her hair. It goes very well with her skin complexion. You can definitely see her black hair coming from the root of her hair. Her hair needs to be re-braided or just taken out. She is wearing wet & wavy braids. Wet and wavy braids begin to crimp when water is applied to them. They usually last for a month and a half. She kept her braids in way past that mark. This hairstyle is a Hair Don't!

Bob Cut or Blob Nut?

The hairstyle photographed to the right is called a bob cut. The bob cut style is typically cut straight around the head at about jaw length. The young lady's hair is long in the front. In the back of her head, the hair looks shorter, but its all cut at the same length. Bob cuts can be styled with the part in the middle or on different sides on your head. In this picture, the part is right in the middle of the young lady's head. She is actually wearing weave. Many people add weave to their hair, so that the stylist won't cut their real hair. The weave is what's being cut in the bob style. She chose a dark black weave. This blends in perfectly with her natural hair color. Some people wouldn't even know the difference between the weave and her real hair. I'd definitely give this a Hair Do!

Kinky or just plain Stinky?

The young lady pictured here has kinky twist braids in her hair. This style is similar to regular braid. Instead of using three strands of hair, this style on requires two strands to braid. All you do is twist the hair, with the two strands. The kinky twist in this photograph is shoulder-length. Depending on your preference, you could have the hair styled long or short. Kinky twist normally take about 6-8 hours to do, depending on the hairstylist. This style usually lasts for about 2-3 months. In this photo, the young lady has the front of her hair up in a pump. You can style the kinky twist in many different ways. This style in my opinion is a Hair Do!
